Featuring all the flexibility of a lightweight knife with the strength of more robust models, the Garberg and Basic 511 knives are the perfect companions for your next backcountry adventure. Named for a fäbodar (a traditional agricultural settlement) near Morakniv’s home of Mora, Sweden, the Garberg pays tribute to the company’s roots. Morakniv's first full-tang knife is built for challenging tasks, and features a 3.8-millimeter-thick stainless steel blade with a semi-matte finish. The blade’s 90-degree spine has been ground for use with a fire starter (not included), and the Scandinavian grind boasts a large surface for easy sharpening. One of Morakniv's most popular blades, the Basic 511 features a carbon steel blade measuring 3.6 inches that can tackle anything from slicing to piercing to skinning. It's oversized handle and protruding ends provides a solid hand grip that won't slip during taxing work.
