Native to Israel, Bethlehem Olivewood trees have been an important resource for over 2,000 years. Highly protected because of their historical and cultural significance, woodworked olivewood is made from branch trimmings and deadfall gathered by those who maintain them. Characterized by its deep black color and dark brown grain, Bog Oak is preserved 3,000-5,000 year old wood collected from the murky peat bogs of England and Ireland.

Finished in gunmetal and gold-plated hardware and fitted with a stainless steel nib, made in Germany by JoWo, The Dignitary accepts short international ink cartridges or standard international piston converters. With each pen sold, a tree-planting donation is made to the National Forest Foundation. Additionally, the pen arrives with a brief printed history of the wood materials used. Because these are crafted by hand, the grain and coloration of each pen may vary.
