For anyone who loves the convenience of a retractable nib but wants an alternative to Pilot’s original Vanishing Point, the Fermo model has a lot to offer. This design trades its sibling’s click mechanism for a smooth, silent twist action. No need to unscrew or post a cap—simply twist the end cap in one direction, and the nib is ready for use. Twist it in the other direction, and the writing point retracts behind a trap door inside the barrel to keep your ink from drying out. The Fermo Vanishing Point also has a slightly slimmer silhouette, and may be more comfortable to use for those with smaller hands.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice between the Silver finish with a Medium nib, the Black finish with a Medium nib, and the Black finish with a Fine nib. Quantities for these options are limited to 75 pens, 25 pens, and 4 pens, respectively (104 pens total). This model is discontinued, and may not be available again in the future.
The pocket clip sits on the same side of the pen as the nib, and is positioned in such a way that it won’t interfere with most grips. This unorthodox design permits quick, seamless use of the pen and allows it to be stored upright in a pocket to prevent leakage. Hidden inside the sleek brass barrel is a soft 18-karat gold nib, plated in rhodium. The nib offers a bit more line variation than most stainless steel nibs, and can feed ink either from disposable Pilot cartridges or from a CON-20 or CON-50 converter and your favorite bottled ink.
